Infinite Group, Inc. Completes Partnership Agreement with Webroot to Provide Cyber Security Solutions to SMB’s

Infinite Group, Inc. completes a partner agreement with Webroot:

Infinite Group, Inc. (IGI) has completed a partner agreement with Webroot, a leader in cloud-based security intelligence solutions, to provide endpoint protection for its small to medium sized business (SMB) customers. IGI is complimenting its SMB security essentials suite with Webroot SecureAnywhere™ security intelligent solutions to enable real-time protection for computer systems and mobile devices, even when they are not behind the corporate firewall.

With businesses embracing mobile devices and cloud computing services to reduce operational costs, they are faced with the challenge of virus detection keeping up with the constant increase and evolution in malicious software. Additionally, with the rapid increase of mobile platform use by businesses, there is a need for security product offerings to protect these mobile devices. Through the Webroot Partnership, IGI is now providing these needed services to SMB customers.

“Over the past eight years, IGI has delivered IT solutions to SMBs and government organizations including the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense,” said Scott Provvidenza, IGI’s Director of IT. “We are excited to announce the inclusion of Webroot SecureAnywhere in the IGI Security Solutions Package. The partnership with Webroot enables IGI to provide a real-time information security solution which greatly reduces vulnerability to cyber-attacks.”

“The partnership with Webroot enables IGI to provide a real-time information security solution which greatly reduces vulnerability to cyber-attacks.”

A recent Web security study commissioned by Webroot found that Web-borne attacks are impacting businesses, with the majority of them reporting significant effects in the form of high rates of malware threats, including phishing attacks, spyware, keyloggers and hacked passwords. Unlike traditional security solutions, Webroot SecureAnywhere installs in seconds, scans in less than two minutes, and never requires security updates or signature database downloads which consume network bandwidth and leave users exposed. Webroot’s unique client and cloud architecture allows customers to quickly gather critical collective endpoint data and provide real-time intelligence to protect against ever-evolving threats.

“Webroot’s drastically different approach to protecting endpoints enables SMBs to enhance security and improve productivity thanks to reduced support overheads and minimal downtime as a result of viruses,” said Charles Tomeo, Vice President of Worldwide Channels at Webroot. “We are always open to acquiring new partners who are committed to delivering excellent solutions and support services to their customers, and Infinite Group closely fits our strategic partnership model at Webroot.”
